When people ask us what Waste-Ed actually does, the honest answer is… quite a lot.
At our core, Waste-Ed is about making waste, recycling, consumption and sustainability easier to understand. We take topics that can feel confusing, overwhelming or just plain boring and turn them into practical, engaging education that people can actually relate to.
We believe waste education is relevant to everyone, because everyone creates waste. That is why our work has never been designed for just one type of audience. Whether you are a business, school, retirement village, council, community group or simply someone who wants to learn more, we tailor our content to suit the people in front of us.
Specialising in public, corporate and private education, Waste-Ed With Kate delivers tailor-made sessions, drawing on common consumer insights to create captivating, motivational presentations that encourage meaningful behaviour change. That could be a workplace workshop, school programme, retirement village session, community event, online course, keynote presentation or a completely tailored piece of education built around a particular audience or issue.
Video is also a big part of what we do. Kate creates educational video content for organisations, councils and campaigns, from short-form social content and explainers through to longer educational series and behind-the-scenes visits that show people what actually happens to our waste and recycling. We also develop resources, online learning and campaigns designed to make complicated information easier to understand and easier to share.
Through all of it, we pride ourselves on our relatability, realism and positive approach to the waste problem. We are not about guilt, perfection or telling people they are doing everything wrong. We want people to understand the impact of the choices they make, feel confident asking better questions, and recognise the changes that are actually achievable.
