Course Access
We provide ongoing access to our online courses rather than guaranteeing permanent or lifetime access.
From time to time, we may update, replace, restructure, migrate or retire course content or the platform used to deliver it.
Where a significant change may affect existing customers, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice or an appropriate alternative where practical. Technology changes, platform providers and other circumstances outside our control may occasionally affect availability.
4. Course Content and Educational Information
Our courses and resources are provided for general education and information.
We make every reasonable effort to ensure our information is accurate and current at the time it is created. However, waste and recycling systems, local collection rules, technologies, products, legislation and industry practices can change.
Recycling and waste systems also differ between countries, regions and local authorities. Where local rules or services are relevant, you should check the current requirements in your own area. Our educational content should not be treated as legal, financial, medical or other specialist professional advice.
5. Payments
Prices will be displayed at the time of purchase or confirmed as part of a quote or booking.
Unless stated otherwise, prices on our New Zealand website are shown in New Zealand dollars.
For international customers, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion rates or additional transaction fees. These are outside our control.
Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout or otherwise agreed with us.
6. Refunds for Online Courses and Digital Products
Please choose carefully before purchasing digital courses or resources.
Because access to digital content may be provided immediately after purchase, we do not guarantee refunds simply because you change your mind. However, this does not affect any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
If you experience a technical problem or believe a course has not been supplied as described, please contact us so we can work with you to resolve the issue.
7. Live Events
Waste-Ed delivers workshops and events at locations throughout New Zealand and may also deliver events online.
Individual event pages will contain the specific date, time, location, ticket options and inclusions for that event.

-
Change an event time or date
-
Change a presenter

Where there is a material change, we will make reasonable efforts to contact registered attendees using the contact information provided at booking. If Waste-Ed cancels an event and no suitable alternative is provided, ticket holders will be entitled to the appropriate remedy required by law, which may include a refund.
Attendee Cancellations
If you can no longer attend an event, please contact us as soon as possible.
Change-of-mind refunds are not guaranteed unless otherwise stated as part of the event booking terms. Where practical, we may allow a ticket to be transferred to another person or another session. Any statutory rights you have remain unaffected.
8. Goodie Bags, Samples and Promotional Products
Some Waste-Ed events may include goodie bags, samples, reusable products or promotional items supplied by Waste-Ed or third-party brands. The exact contents may vary between events and are subject to availability.
Where a stated ticket type includes a goodie bag or product pack, we will take reasonable steps to provide an item or pack of the stated general nature or value, but individual brands, products, sizes or colours may vary. Third-party products remain the responsibility of their manufacturer or supplier in relation to their specific instructions, warranties and product information.

13. Third-Party Links and Products
Our website and resources may link to external websites, brands, products, services or organisations that we believe may be useful.
A link or reference does not necessarily mean Waste-Ed endorses every claim, product or piece of information provided by that third party. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external websites. You should make your own assessment before purchasing or relying on third-party products or services.
14. Testimonials and Results
From time to time, we may share feedback or testimonials from attendees, customers, schools or organisations.
Individual experiences will vary. While our programmes are designed to support learning and behaviour change, we cannot guarantee that every person or organisation will achieve a particular environmental, financial or behavioural result.
15. Website Availability
We aim to keep our website and online learning available and functioning properly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Temporary outages may occur because of maintenance, software updates, hosting providers, internet services, security issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where possible, we will work to restore access as quickly as reasonably practicable.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waste-Ed with Kate Ltd will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website, educational content or services. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any legal rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
17. Privacy
When you make an enquiry, register for an event, purchase a course or otherwise provide information through our website, we may collect personal information necessary to provide our services and communicate with you. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to These Terms
Waste-Ed may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, website or legal obligations.
The current version will be published on this page with the date it was last updated. Changes will apply from the date the updated terms are published, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. For customers outside New Zealand, this does not remove any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to you under the laws of your own country.
20. Questions or Concerns?
If you have a question about these terms, a purchase, an event booking or any of our services, please contact us through the Contact page on our website. We would much rather hear from you and have the opportunity to sort something out than leave you wondering where you stand.
