Every year, millions of tyres are dumped, buried, or stockpiled, creating massive environmental problems.

That’s why Tyrewise was created — New Zealand’s first regulated product stewardship scheme for tyres. Its goal is to stop tyres ending up in landfill and keep valuable resources cycling right here in Aotearoa. In this video, I follow the Journey of Tyre Recycling across New Zealand, from collection to shredding, repurposing, and reuse, showing how each stage of the process protects our environment and our communities.
