A workshop for conscious Kiwis: Who want real world solutions on how to waste less, and save big.
We'll explore:
What is really hiding in our rubbish and why so much of it starts with consumption.
The true cost of cheap and disposable products.
Fast fashion, textiles and the waste behind our wardrobes.
Household and cleaning products and the impact of what we wash down the drain.
Refills, reusables, repairing and buying second-hand.
Simple ways to buy less without feeling like you are missing out.
How wasting less can also mean spending less.

We spend a lot of time talking about what happens to our rubbish once it reaches the bin. Kerbing Consumption starts one step earlier.
Because the truth is, a lot of our waste problem begins long before something is thrown away. It starts with what we buy, how much we buy, how often we replace things and how many products have quietly become part of everyday life without us ever really questioning whether we need them.
Kerbing Consumption is a practical, down-to-earth workshop about consuming differently without making life miserable. We look at everything from fast fashion, food and household products to cleaning supplies, electronics, refills, reusables and the hidden waste that comes with many of the things we buy.
This is not about never buying anything again. It is about slowing down, asking better questions and recognising where small changes in the way we shop and consume can save waste, money and a surprising amount of clutter. You’ll leave with practical ideas, smarter alternatives and plenty of realistic ways to reduce waste without trying to become a completely different person overnight.
Kerbing Consumption is about becoming more conscious of what comes into your home, not just what leaves it. Because once you start noticing how much we consume simply out of habit, convenience or clever marketing, it becomes much easier to make different choices. If you want to waste less, spend more intentionally, cut some clutter and feel a little more in control of what you buy, this workshop is a great place to start.
No guilt. No perfection. Just better habits, smarter choices and a little less stuff.
