You know I get way too excited when people take waste and turn it into something useful, stylish, and impactful. So naturally, when I saw the awesome work being done by The Green Collective, I had to share it with everyone!

These legends aren’t just talking the talk when it comes to sustainability — they’re out here walking the walk every single day. So let’s break it down, because the numbers alone are worth a double take.

Since 2014, The Green Collective has:

  • Kept 174 tonnes of waste from ending up in landfill!

  • Taken over 9 million single-use plastic bags out of circulation. That’s nine million plastic bags that didn’t end up in oceans or blowing down our streets. Mind blown.

  • Cut down on more than 143,000 plastic sponges — meaning no more microplastics sneaking down your sink. (Your dishes, and the fish, say thank you.)

  • Saved 17.7 million single-use tissues from being used once and tossed. Who knew tissues could add up like that?

One of my fave things? The Green Collective doesn’t just avoid waste — they repurpose it. They’ve turned the equivalent of three full 4m² skips into their ENCORE bags — and yes, they look good while doing it. They’ve even given 400kg of expired seatbelt straps a second life. That’s a whole lot of functional fashion made from what would’ve been landfill.

In a world full of greenwashing and half-baked promises, The Green Collective is the real deal. They’ve turned sustainability into a practice, not a marketing line. And let me tell you — the planet needs so many more people doing exactly that.

So if you’re looking to support a brand that’s making real, measurable impact and isn’t afraid to get its hands a little dirty in the name of doing better — The Green Collective deserves your love.
