Looking to get WASTED in a whole new way?
This session is for anyone who has ever stood over the recycling bin wondering whether something actually belongs in there, questioned whether recycling really works, or felt completely overwhelmed by all the conflicting sustainability advice out there.
WASTED is a fun, practical introduction to the world of waste. We look at what happens to rubbish and recycling after it leaves the kerb, how our waste systems actually work, why contamination matters, and how to make better decisions without feeling like you need to completely overhaul your life. We also take a closer look at greenwashing and the growing number of products labelled recyclable, compostable, biodegradable, eco-friendly and sustainable. You’ll learn how to ask better questions, recognise misleading claims and feel more confident about what those labels actually mean.
This session is designed for real people living real lives. There are no guilt trips, no expectations of perfection and definitely no silly questions. Just useful information, plenty of laughs and practical changes you can actually make. Whether you’re completely new to waste reduction, already making changes or simply want to know what on earth happens after the truck drives away, WASTED will leave you with a much clearer understanding of the system and what you can realistically do.
Come and get WASTED. On knowledge, obviously.
